Job Details
The manager will oversee the laboratory staff, including MLS, MLT, Phlebotomists, travelers, and interns.
This position requires a highly trained, specialized individual who has the ability to work under stress in a variety of situations. You will work closely with patients, the Pathologist, office staff, physicians, nursing service, and other LRH campus personnel. Practical interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The incumbent has access to sensitive, confidential information and must be able to maintain those confidences. The incumbent establishes the work procedures and priorities within imposed deadlines.
Qualifications
1. A 4-year degree in medical laboratory science is strongly preferred. Otherwise, a Bachelor of Science degree with an internship under the direction of a Pathologist in an approved laboratory is required.
2. Must possess or be eligible to receive appropriate HHS-approved laboratory certification (e.g., ASCP or AMT).
3. Must maintain approved certification status.
