City of Park Rapids City Planner The City of Park Rapids (pop. 3,843), located 19 miles south of Itasca State Park, is accepting applications for the City Planner. This position reports directly to the City Administrator and is responsible for administering and enforcing the city's planning and zoning, community development, comprehensive plan, and city building, plumbing and rental inspection programs. Qualified applicants must have the ability to plan, coordinate and direct the operations of planning activities, be proficient in the operation of Arc-View, GIS, or similar programs, have excellent communication skills, and the ability and willingness to work with the city's management team. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Planning, Urban Studies or related field, and one to two years of related experience. Preferred candidates will be creative, have a fundamental understanding of planning and zoning principles, ability to present complex material in an objective manner, ability to develop, implement and follow through on projects and ideas. Salary range $43,347 to $56,264 DOQ, plus full-time city benefit package. City application, resume, and a letter of interest required. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
